Charter / Home Schools
TCTS proudly supports homeschoolers, individual learners, and charter schools.
Its curriculum is carefully designed to align with California Common Core State Standards, and California Next Generation Science Standards.
TCTS is different from other STEM educators, not only in explaining complicated scientific concepts in an understandable language even to young students, but also for its unique approach in integrating different STEM components in a single project-based class, such as 3D design, coding, robotics, and hands-on STEM.
Charter Funds
We accept Charter funds as payment for this program and would love to partner with Charter Schools and Learning Pods.

Summary of the classes
Tinker Club ( Age 4-6)
Our very engaging and completely hands-on STEM classes, introduce the basic concepts of physics, weather, geography,.. while focusing on developing the explanatory language skills of the students. The students are building, testing, and learning through the projects as well as developing fine motor skills, they gradually shift from learning facts about science into the practice of science.

SEP3 Planning and Carrying out Investigation

Tinker Club ( Age 7--10)
In this 100% hands-on class, the students work in groups to come up with their engineering design, after brainstorming and gathering data and facts. The topics are different each session; however, the students are guided to develop a scientific approach in their decisions to solve a problem. The second half of the class is learning coding in Scratch.

Tinker Club Robotics ( Age 7--10)
Only the students who have coding experience can join this class. This is a project-based learning class, integrating coding, 3D design, hands-on STEM, and robotics in a single project. The length of each project varies but usually, they take one or two sessions for each. One example of this class is to design an automated desk fan. The students put together different parts and electronics to make a fan, then they 3D design a cover to make the fan safe, covers the wires, and stay steady on the desk, and last they code the fan to start working when the temperature rises over a certain degree.
